Numerous research studies have found benefits from taking high doses of Vitamin C while undergoing traditional cancer treatments. A trial studied the effects of giving up to 1000 times the recommended dose to brain and lung cancer patients. A safety test was administered first to make sure there were no severe side effects. The data showed that patients lived longer with the addition of Vitamin C. It is believed the high doses starve the mutated cells and damage the DNA, making them more susceptible to treatments. Vitamin C also costs less than chemo.
