How to Recover Mentally and Physically from Holidays

January 5, 2016 By Corey B

Recovering from the heightened stress levels and dietary indulgences of the holiday season isn’t always easy, but this guide offers a number of helpful tips on how to get back to normal in the New Year. For example, if you find that your energy levels and stamina are sagging, it probably has something to do with chowing down on some unhealthy Christmas treats like sugar cookies and eggnog. In order to revitalize your system, you should add a number of energy boosting foods to your diet. Spend a week eating protein rich yogurt, fat filled almonds and antioxidant packed grapefruit for breakfast and you’ll find the spring will have returned to your step.

You should also consider reducing your caffeine intake. While millions of people across the country have come to depend on a morning cup of Joe to chase away the cobwebs, there are some all-natural stimulants that can sharpen your cognitive skills without blood pressure raising caffeine. Adding a ginseng supplement to your daily intake will optimize your thinking with the added bonus of helping balance out your blood sugar. Alternately, a guarana supplement can give you the enhanced focus and recall you need to get through your day without any jitters.
