When children swing on a swing set, the synchronous movement they experience with other children on swings encourages cooperation off of the playground. A study published in Experimental Child Psychology has shown that synchronization teaches cooperative skills. By swinging together, the children learn cooperation, an important life skill. Four old children were paired together and asked to do tasks, those who experienced synchronous movements by swinging we’re able to complete other tasks better and faster then other pairs. The study hopes to encourage parents encouraging in sync activities for their children’s development.
