Why Is Raw And Unfiltered Honey The Better Choice?

October 5, 2016 By Corey B

Honey is packed with enzymes and nutrients that have a wide range of health benefits as well as medical uses. It can be used in hospitals to treat wounds among many other benefits. However, most of these health benefits are only limited to raw honey.

Today, most of the honey is processed. It is heated then filtered to improve its texture, color and remove the unwanted crystallization. In the process, most of the beneficial bacteria and antioxidants are also destroyed. Unlike filtered and heated honey, raw honey is still fresh from honey combs and the propolis as well as the bee’s pollen are intact. There are many benefits of unfiltered and raw honey.
