The mainstream notion is that watermelon contains no nutritional value, has way too much sugar, and fully embodies the idea of “empty calories.” In reality, however, a serving of watermelon contains multiple necessary vitamins, as well as a natural dose of potassium. Furthermore, heart disease is a leading health issue in America. Watermelon is a rich source of lycopene, which actively combats common heart diseases and cancers.
