Scientific Reports, an Australian periodical, published this valuable report. The focus of a study was determine what affects sugar has on our health.
Everyone knows that people’s sugar intake is on the rise. Overconsumption of ‘pop’ and other beverages high in sugar are partly to blame. The result of consuming all this sugar is possible depression and weight gain.
Review this piece, to see what’s going on. It may convince you to limit/decrease your sugar intake for better health.

Key Takeaways:

  • High sugar consumption has been linked to a higher chance of developing mood disorders in men.
  • People who consume higher amounts of sugar tend to get fewer nutrients in their diet that help regulate mental health such as Omega 3 fatty acids.
  • Changing lifestyle habits with better diet and exercise should be one of the first steps in dealing with depression and other mood disorders.
