Time To Stop Using Sugars In Foods, Beverages & Drinks

July 31, 2020 By Darrell Miller

Sugar is very unhealthy in excess. Digestive enzymes are required to breakdown sugars like sucrose to release fructose and glucose. Sucrose from plant sources is safe and healthy. However, table sugars don’t require digestive enzymes to release the glucose and fructose into our bodies, therefore the human body is not capable of controlling and regulating the metabolism of fructose at all. Table sugar and high fructose corn syrup may cause a lot of health problems as a result of metabolic regulations not functioning properly. Stay clear of fructose.

Key Takeaways:

  • The body processes these types of sugars that reach the central circulatory system
  • Fructose is a sugar that is often found in overly processed foods
  • Sucrose that is found naturally within plants has been found to be safe and healthy

“Fructose is the sweetest of all the naturally occurring carbohydrates; it is responsible for the sweet taste of fruits and honey.”
